Dordt Claims 2024 GPAC Women's Cross Country Championship
(Ashland, Nebraska) - The 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championships, powered by Two West and presented by IMA, were held on Saturday, November 9, in Ashland, Nebraska, at Mahoney State Park.
(Ashland, Nebraska) - The 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championships, powered by Two West and presented by IMA, were held on Saturday, November 9, in Ashland, Nebraska, at Mahoney State Park.
Dordt University scored 18 points to claim the 2024 GPAC Women's Championship. Dordt posted the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th runners for their total of 18 points. College of Saint Mary was second with 77 points, while Doane was third with 88 points.
Corinne Braun from Dordt was the individual champion with a 6K time of 22:43.2.
Today's qualifiers will advance to the NAIA National Championships on November 22, 2024, in Columbia, Missouri, at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course.
The NAIA will release a list of the additional team and individual qualifiers next week.
The top-15 runners in the race are GPAC All-Conference and Nate Wolf from Dordt was named the GPAC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
