Week 1: GPAC Volleyball Players of the Week

Attacker – Sydney Marlow, Morningside University (Outside)
Morningside's Sydney Marlow is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Marlow, a senior, from Burlington, Iowa, led the Mustangs to a 4-0 record on the week at the GoSarpy.com Volleyball Classic in Bellevue, Nebraska. She hit .455 and found the floor with 20 kills in a win over John Brown. It was one of three contest that she reached double digits in kills.
Setter- Alexis Pontine, Hastings College
Aleix Pontine of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Pontine, a junior from Ignacio, Colorado, helped guide the Broncos to a perfect 4-0 record at their home tournament, the Hastings Classic. In a win over #24 Kansas Wesleyan, she piled up 42 assists to go along with 10 digs, three blocks and a service ace.
Defender – Miriam Miller, Hastings College (Defensive Specialist)
Hastings College defensive specialist Miriam Miller is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Miller, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, averaged over five digs per set on the week. In a five-set win over #24 Kansas Wesleyan she had 25 digs. She had 24 or more digs in three of the Broncos four games last week.
