Week 2: GPAC Women's Outdoor T&F Athletes of the Week

Field Events – Madison Sutton, Doane University
Madison Sutton from Doane University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week. Sutton, a senior from Lexington, Nebraska, took second place in the discus and hammer throw at the Central Nebraska Challenge on Friday. Her mark of 50.39m (165-04) is the second-best throw in the NAIA this season and was one inch off her school record. In the hammer throw, Sutton had a toss of 51.75m (169-09), third-best in the NAIA this year.
Track Events – Adrianna Rodencal, Concordia University
Adrianna Rodencal of Concordia University is this week's women's track athlete-of-the-week. Rodencal, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, competed in four events at the Central Nebraska Challenge and came away with top-five placements in each of them. She broke her own school record in the 100-meter hurdles by running 13.45. That time does not appear on the national list due to the wind factor. Rodencal also placed third (out of 49 athletes) in the 200 meters with a time of 24.35.
