Field Events – Hannah Newton, Midland University
Hannah Newton from Midland University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week. Newton, a senior from Crete, Nebraska, won the high jump at the Bethel Open on Saturday with a height of 1.61m. She edged out three of her teammates, with perfect jumps at 1.56m and 1.61m.
Track Events – Eliza McKown, Waldorf University
Eliza McKown of Waldorf University is this week's women's track athlete-of-the-week. McKown, a junior from Orono, Minnesota, set her 10th school record in the 1500m running a 4:59.37. That time was good enough for a first-place finish in the race and is the best in the GPAC in the outdoor season thus far.
