Week 2: GPAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events – Abbigail Magnuson, Dakota Wesleyan University
Dakota Wesleyan University's Abbigail Magnuson is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Magnuson, a senior from Buxton, North Dakota, reached a pair of NAIA 'A' Standard marks in both the discus and shot put at the Wayne State Wildcat Classic. She finished first in the shot put with her throw of 13.80m which was "A" Standard, second all-time in school history, seventh best this year in NAIA, and second best in the GPAC. In the Discus her mark of 44.62m was an NAIA 'A' Standard, was third all-time in school history, seventh in NAIA, and leads the GPAC.
Track Events – Jenna Esch, Concordia University
Concordia University's Jenna Esch is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Esch, a junior from Hastings, Nebraska, earned wins in the 200 and 400 meters with personal bests in both races at the Central College Dutch Invitational. Her time of 56.66 in the 400 meters is an automatic national qualifying standard that ranks No. 1 in the GPAC and No. 6 in the NAIA.
