Field Events – Abigail Gerber, Concordia University
Abigail Gerber from Concordia University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week. S Wohlgemuth Gerber, a senior from Columbus, Nebraska, landed an NAIA automatic national qualifying mark of 46-04.75 in the shot put and won the event at the Concordia Classic. That mark ranks third in the GPAC and seventh in the NAIA. Gerber also came up just shy of the 'B' standard in the weight throw with a toss of 53-05.00.
Track Events – Adrianna Rodencal, Concordia University
Adrianna Rodencal of Concordia University is this week's women's track athlete-of-the-week. Rodencal, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, placed first in each of her three events at the Concordia Classic. In the 60-meter hurdles, Rodencal equaled a personal best by running 8.53, third fastest in the NAIA. Rodencal also ran the leadoff leg for a 4x400 that qualified for nationals and ranks second in the NAIA. Lastly, she placed first in the 200 meters in a time of 25.61.
