Week 4: GPAC Women's Indoor T&F Athletes of the Week

Field Events – Abi Wohlgemuth, Concordia University
Abi Wohlgemuth from Concordia University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week. S Wohlgemuth utton, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, won the weight throw competition at the Polar Dog Invite with a personal best toss of 59-8.5 feet which ranks No. 1 in the GPAC and No. 3 in the NAIA. With that mark, Wohlgemuth jumped into the top five on the program's all-time weight throw list.
Track Events – Corinne Braun, Dordt University
Corinne Braun of Dordt University is this week's women's track athlete-of-the-week. Braun, a freshman from Canton, South Dakota, hit the 'A' qualifying standard in two events last weekend at the Mount Marty Invite held in Yankton, South Dakota. On Friday night, Braun anchored the Defenders winning distance medley with a 5:08 1600m split on a 200m track. Dordt's overall time of 12:14.9 hit the 'A' qualifying standard and is the No.1 time in the NAIA. On Saturday, Braun followed with her second win of the indoor season in the 1000m. Braun's time of 2:58.31 is a personal best, hit the 'A' standard and is the No.1 time in the NAIA. Braun's time is also the second fastest all-time in program history.
