Week 3: GPAC Women's Indoor T&F Athletes of the Week

Field Events – Madison Sutton, Doane University
Madison Sutton from Doane University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week. Sutton, a senior from Lexington, Nebraska, moved into third place on the NAIA season chart in both the weight throw and the shot put with winning throws on Saturday. Her marks were the best marks in the NAIA on the week for the weight throw and shot put. Sutton had a throw of 17.97m (58-11.50) in the weight throw and a mark of 14.41m (47-03.50) in the shot put, moving her into ninth on the Doane all-time chart.
Track Events – Corinne Braun, Dordt University
Corinne Braun of Dordt University is this week's women's track athlete-of-the-week. Braun, a freshman from Canton, South Dakota, won two events in her collegiate track debut at the Defenders home meet, the Dordt Indoor Open. Braun led from start to finish in winning the 1000m with a time of 2:59.23, meeting the B standard with the fourth fastest time in the NAIA. Later, Braun won the 600m with a time of 1:39.47, currently third fastest in the GPAC.
