2024 GPAC Women’s Tennis Tournament Championship Set

(South Sioux City, Nebraska) – Top seed Morningside and two seed Midland have advanced to the Championship Match of the 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Tournament.  Thursday's matches were played at the First Serve Tennis Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

Thursday play saw three seed Concordia and four seed Mount Marty win their play in matches in the morning.  The Bulldogs defeated six seed Northwestern 4-1, while the Lancers defeated five seed Doane 4-3.

In the semifinals top seed Morningside defeated four seed Mount Marty 5-0 (two matches ended simultaneously at clinch for a 5-0 final), while two seed Midland won over three seed Concordia 4-2.

The GPAC Tournament Matches are played to clinch in all rounds.

Saturday's Championship Match will now be indoors at First Serve due to the rain projected into the early morning hours of Saturday and the likelihood of wet courts/conditions on Saturday morning.

The champion of the postseason tournament will advance to the NAIA Women's National Tennis Championship in Mobile, Alabama, at the Mobile Tennis Center on May 14-18, 2024.
