Championship Match Set for GPAC Women's Tennis
(Omaha, Neb.) – Day one is complete at the 2022 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Tennis Tournament. The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds were played at the Genesis Health Club and Miracle Hills Tennis Club in Omaha, Nebraska.
In the quarterfinal round three seed Doane and four seed College of Saint Marty posted walk-off wins. The three seed Tigers defeated six seed Hastings 5-0, while the four seed Flames defeated five seed Concordia 4-0.
The semifinal round saw top seed Midland defeat #4 College of Saint Mary 4-0 (walk-off), while two seed Morningside had a 4-3 win over #3 Doane.
Number one seed Midland will play two seed Morningside on Saturday in the Championship at 11am in Fremont, Nebraska, at the YMCA.
The champion of the postseason tournament will advance to the NAIA Women's National Tennis Championship in Mobile, Alabama, at the Mobile Tennis Center on May 17-21, 2022.
