Week 1: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played August 19-25, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Offense – Kierstynn Garner, Concordia University (Forward)

Kierstynn Garner of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garner, a senior, from Kearney, Nebraska, led the Bulldogs to non-conference wins last week over Dakota State, 4-1, and Nebraska Wesleyan, 4-0. Garner produced a combined four goals and an assist for the week with a hat trick coming versus Nebraska Wesleyan. Through four games, she has collected six goals and three assists and helped Concordia to an upset win over No. 4 Columbia (Mo.).

Women's Defense – Mya Cole, Northwestern College (Defender)

Mya Cole of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Cole, a sophomore from Rapid City, South Dakota, was effective on both sides of the pitch, leading the Raider back line in a pair of shutout wins. On Wednesday, she put the Raiders ahead 1-0 with a free kick blast for her first career goal. Cole followed it up with an assist to Aliza Edwards for the game-winning goal in Friday's 1-0 win over Bethel.
