Hastings Claims 2024 GPAC Women’s Soccer Tournament Championship

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Championship Match of the 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Women's Soccer Tournament was played Tuesday night in Hastings, Nebraska, at Lloyd Wilson Field.

Top seeded Hastings scored three first half goals goals and added one in the second half for a 4-0 win over two seed Concordia. 

Madison Rhodes scored the first goal of the night at the five minute mark into the first half.  Erica Inay then found the net for the Broncos at 25:36 to make the score 2-0.  Dulce Lopez scored her first of two goals on the night, with her first coming at 41:07 to give Hastings a 3-0 lead at halftime.  The final goal of the game, also from Lopez, came at 79:20 to make the final score 4-0.

With the win the Broncos sweep the GPAC titles for women's soccer for 2024 by winning both the regular and postseason.

Hastings and Concordia will advance to the NAIA Postseason as automatic representatives from the GPAC.  The NAIA Women's Soccer Opening Round is slated for November 21-23, 2024, at campus sites around the country.  NAIA pairings will be announced on Saturday by the NAIA National Office after the selection committee meets on Friday.

The NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Final Site is in Pensacola, Florida, December 2-9, 2024, at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex.
