Week 10: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 21-27, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Offense – Kierstynn Garner, Concordia University (Forward)

Kierstynn Garner of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garner, a junior from Kearney, Nebraska, helped Concordia to wins last week over College of Saint Mary and Mount Marty by a combined score of 10-0. Garner either scored or assisted on all 10 of the goals (three goals and seven assists). In the process, Garner ran her season tallies to 15 goals and 10 assists. With 42 career goals, Garner ranks in the top five on the program's all-time goals list.

Women's Defense – Virginia Johnson, Doane University (Keeper)

Virginia Johnson of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Johnson, a sophomore from Lenexa, Kansas, posted a clean sheet for the Tigers in their lone game on the week, picking up a tie at conference champion, Hastings. She had six saves in the shutout. On the year, she has a 0.91goals against average.
