Week 9: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 14-20, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Offense – Eyrun Vala Hardardottir, Briar Cliff University (Midlfield)

Eyrun Vala Hardardottir of Briar Cliff University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Vala Hardardottir, a freshman from Reykjavik, Iceland, recorded seven points last week and has helped guide the Chargers to a five-game winning streak. She scored a goal against Dordt in the mid-week matchup, and recorded a goal and three assists against the Flames of College of Saint Mary in the weekend matchup.

Women's Defense – Tia Lisy, Briar Cliff University (Defender)

Tia Lisy of Briar Cliff University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Lisy, a senior from Isle of Man, anchored the Briar Cliff backline last week that recorded a clean sheet against Dordt. Until that match, Dordt had recorded at least one goal in 16 straight matches. Against the match with the College of Saint Mary she also recorded a goal.
