Week 8: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense – Karinna Tel, Dordt University (Forward)
Karinna Tel of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Tel, a junior from Puyallup, Washington, totaled 12 points, scoring six goals in matches played against Morningside and College of Saint Mary. She scored the Defenders lone goal in their loss to Morningside and followed that with a five-goal performance in the 5-2 win against the Flames. The five goals scored matches her career-best for goals scored in a match (accomplished earlier this season). Tel currently leads the NAIA with 54 points and 23 goals. The 23 goals this season also matches a program record.
Women's Defense – Tatiana Villasenor, Hastings College (Goalkeeper)
Tatiana Villasenor of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Villasenor, a freshman from Aurora, Colorado, started the first two games of her career and had back-to-back shutout performances. The first one came on the road at Mount Marty in a 1-0 victory, in which she saved two shot attempts. The second shutout came in an 8-0 home win over Waldorf.
