Week 6: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense – Karinna Tel, Dordt University (Forward)
Karinna Tel of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Tel, a junior from Puyallup, Washington, led the Defenders to a 2-0 record in GPAC play. She totaled 18 points (8 goals, 2 assists) in wins over Waldorf and Mount Marty. Tel scored a career-high five goals to go with two assists in the Defenders 15-0 win against Waldorf. The five goals scored in a single match is second most all-time in program history. Tel followed with a hat-trick in the Defenders 3-0 road win against Mount Marty. Tel leads the GPAC and ranks third in the NAIA with 18 goals this season.
Women's Defense – Kyla Pires, Midland University (Goalkeeper)
Kyla Pires of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Pires, a senior from Myrtle Creek, Oregon, picked up a pair of clean sheets for the Warriors this week. She was instrumental in helping Midland to 4 points with a win and a draw. In the win against Morningside on Saturday, she had a pair of crucial diving stops and finished with 10 saves on the week.
