Week 5: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played September 16-22, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Women's Offense – Dekota Schubert, Hastings College (Midlfield)

Dekota Schubert of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Schubert, a senior from Castle Rock, Colorado, accounted for all three goals in a 3-2 win over Morningside. She scored the first two goals in the 55th and 70th minutes of the game. In the 89th minute, she assisted the game-winning goal. In a 3-1 win over Briar Cliff, Schubert scored the game-winning goal in the 25th minute. For the week, she had three goals on 12 shots, seven shots on goal, one assist, and one game-winning goal.

Women's Defense – Peyton Anderson, Northwestern College (Goalkeeper)

Peyton Anderson of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Anderson, a freshman from Buffalo, Minnesota, totaled 22 saves in a 2-0 start to conference play. She notched 11 saves in both games with an .815 save percentage.
