Week 2: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played August 26-Sept. 1, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Women's Offense – Kierstynn Garner, Concordia University (Forward)

Kierstynn Garner of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garner, junior from Kearney, Nebraska, struck for four goals as Concordia earned a 4-2 win at Graceland (Iowa) on Aug. 28. Garner became the fourth player in program history to produce four goals in a single game. She has tallied 31 goals in her collegiate career.

Women's Defense – Jackson Pederson, Hastings College (Goalkeeper)

Jackson Pederson of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Pederson, a senior from Roskilde, Denmark, controlled the games defensively this week, as she did not allow a goal and had nine saves in the two wins, which led to a perfect week for the Broncos. She had five saves against Bethel and four saves against Park, all while playing all 90 minutes in each game.
