Week 9: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women’s Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 16-22, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-2024 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense – Karinna Tel, Dordt University (Forward)
Karinna Tel of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Tel, a sophomore from Puyallup, Washington, totaled 10 points in wins over both Jamestown and Doane. She had a goal and had one assist in leading Dordt to its first win over Jamestown since 2016. Tel followed with a five-point performance in her team's 4-0 win against Doane, scoring two goals and assisting on another. Tel leads the GPAC with 41 points and ranks second in both goals (16) and assists (9). Dordt extended its unbeaten streak to seven matches.
Women's Defense – Isabella Gregg, Dakota Wesleyan University (Keeper)
Isabella Gregg of Dakota Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Gregg, a junior from Moreno Valley, California, recorded another shutout, her third straight on the season, last week. Gregg piled up a season-best 10 saves to keep Midland off the scoreboard and secure the one-point in the tie.
