Week 10: Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 24-30, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Women's Offense – Kierstynn Garner, Concordia University (Forward)

Kierstynn Garner of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garner, a freshman from Kearney, Nebraska, notched the game-winning goal and assisted the other Bulldog goal as Concordia defeated Doane, 2-0, and locked up a spot in the GPAC tournament. Garner leads Concordia with eight goals this season.

Women's Defense – Kalie Ward, Concordia University (Keeper)

Kalie Ward of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Ward, senior from Cheyenne, Wyoming earned the clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Doane that clinched Concordia's spot in the GPAC tournament. Ward made four saves while covering all 90 minutes in goal. She picked up her fourth shutout of the season.
