Week 9: Women's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 17-23, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense – Dekota Schubert, Hastings College (Forward)
Dekota Schubert of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Schubert, a junior, from Castle Rock, Colorado, played a key role in helping the Broncos go 2-0 this past week. She scored two goals in the 3-1 victory over College of Saint Mary while scoring the first of six goals in the win over Northwestern on Saturday. She currently leads the team with 17 goals on the season.
Women's Defense – Sofie Jackson-Pedersen, Hastings College (Keeper)
Sofie Jackson-Pedersen of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Lampe, a sophomore from Roskilde, Netherlands, was kept busy in goal this past week as she finished with 18 saves to help the Broncos to a pair of wins. Her 14 save performance against College of Saint Mary was a career high.
