Week 5: Women's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played September 19-25, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Offense – Jimena Estrada Gómez, College of Saint Mary (Midfield)
Jimena Estrada Gómez of the College of Saint Mary is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Estrada Gómez, a freshman, from Omaha, Nebraska, scored four goals on the week as the Flames picked up a pair of league wins. She netted a pair of goals in a 3-2 win over Mount Marty and added two more in a 6-0 victory of Dakota Wesleyan. She leads the team in goals on the season, including a pair of game winners.
Women's Defense – Tea Pence, University of Jamestown (Goalkeeper)
Tea Pence of University of Jamestown is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Pence, freshman from Hamilton, Ohio, made six saves in a 1-0 win at Hastings, and then saved two shots in a joint shutout of Doane (Neb.). She has not allowed a goal in her last three appearances, extending her scoreless streak to 257:33 over four appearances.
