Week 6: Golfers of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for October 10-16, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Megan Hinker, Dakota Wesleyan University
Megan Hinker of Dakota Wesleyan University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Getz Hinker, a senior from Lennox, South Dakota, led all golfers on the course after the first day of the USF Invite, shooting a 73 (+1). Heading into the second round with a six-stroke lead and windy conditions, Hinker continued to play well carding an 81 on the second round, good enough to take first-place with a 14-stroke advantage. She helped the Tigers to a second-place team finish.

Men – Blake Andersen, Doane University
Blake Andersen of Doane University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Andersen, a senior from Grand Junction, Colorado, led the way for the Tigers and finished second overall with an even-par 142 (70-72) at the Virginia McCoy Fall Invite in Parkville Missouri. He helped the tigers to fifth-place finish overall in a tightly contested field.
