Week 2: GPAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played November 4-10, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Offensive – Molly Schany, Northwestern College (Forward)

Molly Schany of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week.  Schany, a senior from Emmetsburg, Iowa, had a pair double-doubles on the weekend, scoring 28 points in each outing. She had 28 points and 13 rebounds in Friday's win over College of the Ozarks, and added 28 points and 11 boards in Saturday's top-20 matchup with Grand View

Defensive – Macy Sievers, Dordt University (Guard)

Macy Sievers of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week.  Sievers, a junior from Storm Lake, Iowa, averaged eight defensive rebounds per game to go along with 4.5 steals per contest in a pair of Dordt wins. Her defensive efforts helped the Defenders limit opponents to 63.5 points per game.
