Week 7: GPAC Softball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 17-23, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Campbell Petrick, Midland University

Campbell Petrick of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Petrick, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, went the distance in her lone start this week at Nebraska Wesleyan. Pitching for the first time as a collegian in her hometown, she went 7.0 innings with no runs allowed while striking out six batters. She showcased her glove as well with three assists as a fielder.

Player – Lauren Steenstra, Dordt University (First Base)

Lauren Steenstra of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week.  Steenstra, a junior from Wyoming, Michigan, tied a school record with three homeruns against Doane on Saturday and had eight RBI on the week. All six of her hits this weekend were extra base hits and she had a 3.33 slugging percentage and she scored five times.
