Week 10: GPAC Softball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played April 22-28, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-2024 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Faith Molina, Doane University

Faith Molina of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week.  Molina, a sophomore from Hastings, Nebraska, put the Tigers on her back this week and the team qualified for the GPAC Tournament with a 5-1 week. She came out of the bullpen in five games, going 4-0 on the week with a 1.83 ERA and striking out 21 batters in 23 innings. Her offensive numbers also earned her GPAC player of the week honors.

Player – Faith Molina, Doane University (Infield/Pitcher)

Faith Molina of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week. Molina, a sophomore from Hastings, Nebraska, hit .556 (10-for-18) with 10 RBI and six runs scored, collecting three extra base hits and an .833 slugging percentage. She had a pair of doubles and a home run while walking twice and stealing a pair of bases. Additionally, she came out of the bullpen in five games, going 4-0 on the week with a 1.83 ERA and striking out 21 batters in 23 innings.
