(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 27-April 2, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Maddi Duncan, Briar Cliff University

Maddi Duncan of Briar Cliff University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Duncan, a freshman from Lincoln, Nebraska, tossed a complete game shutout in a 2-0 win over Dakota Wesleyan. She scattered just four hits over the seven innings while striking out eight and walking just one.

Player – Kennedee Jones, Morningside University (Infielder)

Kennedee Jones of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week. Jones, a junior from Ankeny, Iowa, led the Mustangs with three RBIs in this week's two games, hitting .667 with a matching on base percentage, slugging at a 1.167 percentage. She was perfect in 10 total chances on the field, with nine punch outs and one assist.
