Week 9: GPAC Softball Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played April 25-May 1, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2021-22 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors
Pitcher – Tava Boone, Dakota Wesleyan University
Tava Boone of Dakota Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Boone, a junior from Gilbert, Arizona, tossed 17 complete innings in a pair of outings last week, including the 10-inning shutout win against Dordt to end the regular season She finished with 11 total strike outs while only allowing one run. On the week she had an ERA of 0.41 with 194 pitches thrown.
Player – Lexie Stolen, Morningside University (Utility)
Lexie Stolen of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week. Stolen, a senior from Sioux City, Iowa, hit safely in all four contests to lead Mustangs to unbeaten week. In a win over the College of Saint Mary she had four doubles, scored twice and had five RBI. She tied the school record for career home runs (38) with a grand slam against Hastings.
