Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the Week
Women – Courtney Sporrer, Morningside University
Courtney Sporrer of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Sporrer, a junior from Logan, Iowa, was the highest NAIA finisher at this year's Briar Cliff Invite, placing third in a time of 22:48.7.
Men – Vaughn Hendrickson, Concordia University
Vaugh Hendrickson of Concordia University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Hendrickson, a freshman from Fort Wayne, Indiana, set a new personal best for an 8k race while finishing in 25:26.64 at the Briar Cliff Invite. Hendrickson won the individual title (in a field of 96 runners) while leading Concordia to a team championship at Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, South Dakota. Hendrickson has been the team's top runner in back-to-back meets.
