Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the Week
Women – Corinne Braun, Dordt University
Corinne Braun of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Braun, a freshman from Canton, South Dakota, won the individual title to lead the Defenders to a first-place finish at their home meet, the Sunflower Open, last weekend. Running in her first collegiate race, Braun led from start to finish and crossed the finish line with a 5K time of 18:40. She became the first Dordt women's runner to win on their home course since Olivia Couch in 2019 (GPAC Championship).
Men – Logan Ferrari, Mount Marty University
Logan Ferrari of Mount Marty University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Ferrari, a senior from Ridge, Nevada, set a new school record for the 8k course with a time of 25:23.75. En route to the record-setting performance, Ferrari finished first out of all collegiate runners and third overall.
