MEN
Hagen Heistand, Concordia University – 149lb Weight Class
Concordia University wrestler Hagen Heistand is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Heistand, a junior from Dow City, Iowa, went 5-0 and won the 149-pound title at the Roger Denker Open hosted by the University of Central Missouri. Heistand won all of his matches with bonus points, including two by pin and two via technical fall. In addition, two wins came against the host school. A transfer from Campbell University, Heistand pushed his season record to 10-1.
WOMEN
Emily Paulino, Midland University – 1124lb Weight Class
Midland University wrestler Emily Paulino is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Paulino, a senior from Honolulu, Hawaii, won the 124 Open Division at the York Open on Saturday. She picked up a pair of wins by fall and won the championship bout via a 6-4 decision.
