MEN
Tyson Beauperthuy, Doane University – 184lb Weight Class
Doane University wrestler Tyson Beauperthuy is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Beauperthuy, a junior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, won all five matches on the week to improve to 21-0 on the year. He picked up three wins over Top 15 wrestlers. In his match against NAIA No. 9 Brice Parks, he trailed 12-3 before going on a 22-5 run to post a major decision victory.
WOMEN
Reagen Gallaway, Hastings College – 138lb Weight Class
Northwestern College wrestler Noah Parmelee is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Gallaway, a sophomore from Kearney, Nebraska, went 4-0 at the NWCA Duals and beat two ranked opponents. She beat #11 Gabriella Perez of Campbellsville on a 10-5 decision and then pinned Cara Cheng of (RV) Missouri Baptist in 30 seconds. On Saturday, Gallaway pinned second-ranked Samantha Barragan at the 1:57 mark in a dual that saw Hastings defeat #14 Texas Wesleyan 40-10. In their victory over #5 William Penn, Hastings trailed 22-1 going into Gallaway's bout. She earned a tech fall and that match started a 5-bout win streak that led the 24-22 comeback win.
