MEN
Creighton Baughman, Concordia University – 141lb Weight Class
Concordia University wrestler Creighton Baughman is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Baughman, a graduate student from Papillion, Nebraska, went 5-0 at the Connor Oppenheim Open hosted by Doane and won the 141-pound open division bracket. In the championship match, Baughman defeated Grand View's Drew Woodley, 6-4. Baughman improved to 8-0 on the season and is ranked 10th in the NAIA at 141 pounds.
WOMEN
Karina Vang, Doane University – 103lb Weight Class
Doane University wrestler Karina Vang is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Vang, a junior from Fresno, California, won four matches and took second place at the Conner/Oppenheim Doane Open. She posted a 10-5 win over fourth-ranked Judy Sandoval of Grand View in the semifinals. Vang recorded an additional two wins by pin and a tech fall. Her lone loss in the tournament came to top-ranked Erin Hikiji, the 2024 NAIA national runner-up
