Week 4: GPAC Wrestlers of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's and women's wrestler-of-the-week for contests played November 18-24, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

MEN
Creighton Baughman, Concordia University – 141lb Weight Class

Concordia University wrestler Creighton Baughman is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Baughman, a senior from Papillion, Nebraska, pinned Hastings' Dalton Michael in 2:12. Baughman's win at 141 pounds helped lift the Bulldogs to a 33-22 team victory. The victory marked the 59th in the Concordia career of Baughman, a two-time NAIA national qualifier. He is currently ranked 10th in the NAIA at 141.

WOMEN
Lisa Hoeflich, Hastings College – 145lb Weight Class

Hastings College wrestler Lisa Hoeflich is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Hoeflich, a junior from Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, won three of her final four matches after dropping her first match. Her first win was a 10-0 technical fall, then she pinned the #10-ranked woman in the country for her second win. She pinned her next opponent in just over a minute before losing to Madyson Gray of Grand View in her fourth consolation match.
