MEN
Zeph Sivels, Midland University – 285lb Weight Class
Midland University wrestler Zeph Sivels is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Sivels, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, picked up two wins over ranked opponents in GPAC duals this week. On Wednesday, he used a last-period takedown to upset 17th-ranked Mason Garcia of Concordia, 4-1, at home. On Friday, he edged past 16th-ranked Eli Criblez of Doane, 2-1, on the road.
WOMEN
Hailey Romero, Doane University – 180lb Weight Class
Doane University wrestler Hailey Romero is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Romero, a sophomore from Kearney, Missouri, went 4-0 and won her bracket at the Waldorf Open. The championship marked her second collegiate tournament win. She won three matches by pin and has four pins in her five wins this season. Romero seventh-ranked Kami Senlycki of defeated NCAA Division III Wartburg in the championship match
