Week 11: GPAC Wrestler of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following wrestler-of-the-week for contests played February 12-18, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-2024 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Nathan Rizek, Doane University – 125lb Weight Class

Doane University wrestler Nathan Rizek is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Rizek, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, won the 125-lbs weight class at the GPAC Tournament, going 4-0 with four pins. He broke the school record for fastest pin in the weight class during his semifinal match, pinning Dante Rigal of Briar Cliff in 24 seconds. He earned the single bid the conference has for the national tournament.
