Week 6: GPAC Wrestler of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following wrestler-of-the-week for contests played January 1-7, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-2024 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Tyson Beauperthuy, Doane University – 197lb Weight Class

Doane University wrestler Tyson Beauperthuy is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Beauperthuy, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, Colorado, went 5-0 with four of his wins earning bonus points in the team scoring for the Tigers. He recorded a pair of wins over ranked opponents, #14 Chandler Woenker by major decision (11-1) and #20 Alan Badley by decision (5-4). He improved to 19-1 on the season and 8-0 in dual matches.
