(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following wrestler-of-the-week for contests played February 13-19, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

John Diener, Morningside University – 149lb Weight Class

Morningside wrestler John Dierner is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Diener, a senior from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, played a crucial role in securing Morningside's GPAC Tournament title, winning the individual title at 149-pounds as he pinned Doane's Nathan Lendt, who is ranked No. 8 in the NAIA. Lendt defeated Diener earlier this season when the teams met at the GPAC duals.
