(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following wrestler-of-the-week for contests played February 6-12, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

John Diener, Morningside University – 149lb Weight Class

Morningside wrestler John Dierner is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Diener, a senior from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, went 2-0 on the week. He received a forfeit in a 54-4 team win over Bethany College and picked up a major decision win against Hunter Wagner of Ottawa, who was ranked No. 19 in the final NAIA individual rankings of the season.
