Week 11: Wrestler of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following wrestler-of-the-week for contests played January 30-February 5, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Jakob Jerabek, Morningside University – 285lb Weight Class

Morningside wrestler Jakob Jerabek is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Jerabek, a sophomore from Ashton, Nebraska, won the 285-pound weight class bracket in this week's Dave Edmonds Open. He battled through the championship bracket with falls in the first round and the quarterfinals. He wrestled NCAA Division II Augustana's Max Balow to a 6-0 decision in the semifinals, and collected a 3-2 victory in tiebreaker one over unattached Zephaniah Sivels.
