Week 10: Wrestler of the Week

Hayden Wempen, Morningside University – 184lb Weight Class

Morningside wrestler Hayden Wempen is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Wempen, a junior from Riverton, Wyoming, went 4-0 on the week, starting with a 19-4 tech fall at Northwestern, and ending with a decision over No. 4 Doane's Chinges Tsermaa, who ranks No. 4 in the 174-pound weight class. He also received a forfeit in Morningside's perfect scoring 60-0 dual against Hastings, which ties a school record dating to 1977. He also pinned Midland's Connor Rinn in 4:17.
