Week 5: GPAC Men's Volleyball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Volleyball Players-of-the-Week
Attacker – Zayin Martinez, Kansas Wesleyan University (Opposite)
Zayin Martinez of Kansas Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Martinez, a freshman, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, helped Kansas Wesleyan to a record of 5-0 on the week, including four wins at the KWU Coyote Classic tournament. He averaged 2.81 kills per set while hitting .446 on the week. He also added four service aces and averaged .25 blocks per set.
Setter- Jacob DePauw, Morningside University
Jacob DePauw from Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. DePauw, a junior from South Beloit, Illinois, eclipsed the 2000 assists in his career last week. He had 143 assists in four matches, averaging 10.21 assists per set. He also added 10 kills, nine digs, five blocks and six service aces for the Mustangs.
Defender – Jeremy Lapeze, Kansas Wesleyan University (Defensive Specialist)
Jeremy Lapeze of Kansas Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Lapeze, a sophomore from Burbank, California, had a great week of defense for the Coyotes. He passed 78 times without a receiving error in four matches and averaged 3.75 digs per set on the week with 60 in all. In addition, he also had five service aces on the week.
