Week 5: Men's Outdoor Track & Field Honors
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's outdoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for events held April 17-23, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Field Events – Dylan Kucera, Midland University
Dylan Kucera from Midland University is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Kucera, a senior from Fremont, Nebraska, continued his to dominate in his final season with a pair of wins at the Dutcher Memorial this past weekend. He outdistanced the field in the shot put by over three meters with an NAIA leading throw of 19.02m. In the hammer throw, he was nearly two meters better as he reached 61.50m. He ranks third in the event in the NAIA.
Track Events – Kalen Dockweiler, Doane University
Kalen Dockweiler of Doane University is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Dockweiler, a senior, from Callaway, Nebraska, an a personal best and the second-fastest time in the NAIA this season (9:14.11) in the steeplechase. His performance nearly took down Doane's longest standing individual outdoor record. He finished 0:00.08 off of the school record set in 1985.
