Concordia Women, Dordt Men Claim GPAC Indoor Track and Field Titles

(Seward, Nebraska) - <FINAL RESULTS> The 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships were held at Concordia University, Nebraska, on Friday and Saturday, February 17-18.
The Concordia women and Dordt men claimed team titles after 19 events were constested on Friday and Saturday.
The Bulldog women scored 241.5 points to win their fifth title in a row dating back to 2019. Doane was second and Dordt was third.
The Defender men scored 204.5 points to claim their second title in three years. Dordt won their first GPAC indoor title in 2020. Doane was second and Concordia was third.
Adrianna Rodencal from Concordia was named the GPAC Women's Athlete of the Meet after scoring 28 individual points. She won the 60 hurdles and 200, while placing second in the 60 dash.
Payton Mauldin from Dordt was named the GPAC Men's Athlete of the Meet after scoring 30 points. He was a triple winner on the day with first place finishes in the 400, 600, and 800. He won those three events over a span of 90 minutes in the meet.
Outstanding Performances-of-the-Meet and Coach of the Year Honors will be announced next week.
The top-eight individual finishers and top-three in relays are considered GPAC All-Conference.
Next up is the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Brookings, South Dakota, at South Dakota State University. The NAIA Championships are March 2-4 inside the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
