Week 5: GPAC Tennis Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following tennis players-of-the-week for March 24-30, 2025.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Tennis Weekly Honors

Women's Tennis – Kailee Bailey, Morningside University
Kailee Bailey of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Bailey, a freshman from Omaha, Nebraska, was undefeated on the week while playing No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles. She picked up a quick 6-1, 6-1 win in singles play against Hastings, before facing a bit more resistance in a 6-4, 6-2 win at Concordia. Bailey and Stefany Simplicio also were perfect in doubles play.

Men's Tennis – Jesse Gerth, Morningside University
Jesse Gerth of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Gerth, freshman from Zoetermeer, Netherlands, helped the Mustangs to a pair of wins over Hastings and Concordia. He went a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles play on the week, teaming up with Mathys Arnold for a pair of wins. At No. 6 singles he picked up a pair of quick wins, each by a score of 6-1, 6-1.
