2024 GPAC Men's Tennis Tournament Field Announced
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Morningside men will be the number one seed when the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Tennis Tournament begins on Friday, April 26. The GPAC Men’s Tennis Tournament will be played in Sioux City, Iowa, and South Sioux City, Nebraska, with Morningside University serving as host.
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Morningside men will be the number one seed when the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Tennis Tournament begins on Friday, April 26. The GPAC Men's Tennis Tournament will be played in Sioux City, Iowa, and South Sioux City, Nebraska, with Morningside University serving as host.
Friday play will be moved indoors to South Sioux City, Nebraska, at the First Serve Tennis Center because of the projected forecast. Saturday's location is to be determined.
The Mustangs were champions of the regular season with a record of 6-0. Mount Marty will be the two seed after a 4-2 regular season. Midland will be the three seed (4-2), with Doane the fourth seed (3-3). Concordia (2-4) and Northwestern (2-4) will be the five and six seeds. The top six teams from the regular season standings qualify for the postseason tournament. The number one and two seeds will have first round byes. GPAC tiebreakers were used to determine the seeds.
The champion of the postseason tournament will advance to the NAIA Men's National Tennis Championship in Mobile, Alabama, at the Mobile Tennis Center on May 14-18, 2024.
