Championship Match Set for GPAC Men's Tennis

(Fremont, Neb.) – Day one is complete at the 2022 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Tennis Tournament. The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds were played at the YMCA in Fremont, Nebraska.

In the quarterfinal round three seed Concordia and four seed Morningside posted walk-off wins. The three seed Bulldogs defeated six seed Northwestern 4-1, while the four seed Mustangs defeated five seed Hastings 4-1.

The semifinal round saw top seed Midland defeat #4 Morningside 4-0 (walk-off), while two seed Doane had a 4-1 win over #3 Concordia.

Number one seed Midland will play two seed Doane on Saturday in the Championship at 1:30pm (approx.) in Fremont, Nebraska, at the YMCA.

The champion of the postseason tournament will advance to the NAIA Women's National Tennis Championship in Mobile, Alabama, at the Mobile Tennis Center on May 17-21, 2022.
