Week 5: GPAC Tennis Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following tennis players-of-the-week for contests played April 11-17, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2021-22 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Tennis – Sofia Morales, Concordia University
Sofia Morales of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Morales, a sophomore from Bogota, Columbia won matches at both No. 1 singles and doubles while leading the Bulldogs to a 6-1 team victory at Hastings. Morales improved her season conference singles record to 5-1 at the No. 1 spot. Morales and Tessa Blough are 4-2 as a combo in GPAC doubles matches.
Men's Tennis – Jorge Chevez, Doane University
Jorge Chevez of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Chevez, a junior from Panama City, Panama, picked up one of the bigger wins in his career last Friday as he defeated NCAA Division I Creighton's Stratton Brown. He teamed with Donat Beke for only the second time this year and the team took two games in the match, most of any of the doubles matches.
