Week 6: GPAC Tennis Honors

Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2020-21 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Tennis – Renee Acena, College of Saint Mary
Renee Acena of the College of Saint Mary is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Acena, a freshman from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, went a perfect 8-0 on the week with four singles wins and four doubles wins. She finishes the regular season undefeated at No. 1 singles in the GPAC at 7-0. Including non-conference, her record is 12-0 in singles on the season.
Men's Tennis – Brian Vanden Berg, Northwestern College
Brian Vanden Berg of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Vanden Berg, a sophomore from Mason City, Iowa, went unbeaten in both singles and doubles last week for the Raiders. He picked up a pair of straight set wins at No.1 singles against Mount Marty and Morningside. Vanden Berg also won his matches at No.1 doubles.
