Week 4: GPAC Tennis Honors

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following tennis players-of-the-week for contests played April 5-11, 2021. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2020-21 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Tennis Weekly Honors

Women's Tennis – Ava Macke, Doane University

Ava Macke of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Macke, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, played a huge role in Doane's win over College of Saint Mary, starting with doubles play where she teamed with Liz van der Torre at No. 2 doubles. The team rallied from a 1-4 deficit to win 7-5 and pick up the doubles point for Doane. They defeated the team of Renee Acena & Jaclyn Negrete. In singles action, her win was the 4th team point for Doane, securing the victory for the Tigers.
